« Millions of Eyes » est une méditation synth-pop paranoïaque sur la surveillance et le paradoxe d'être observé et pourtant invisible. Sur trois couplets, caméras publiques, données d'internet et des services de renseignement, et la nouvelle loi allemande qui permet aux services secrets d'entrer sans motif dans un cabinet médical, la chanson dessine un monde d'observation totale. Mais le refrain apporte le retournement psychologique : tant de regards, et pourtant personne ne voit vraiment. Ce fossé entre surveillance et être vu, dit la chanson, est le terreau de la dépression.
