"Add to Cart" is the album's most bitter track—a cynical synth-pop indictment of consumer culture that turns its blade toward something darker. Starting as a sarcastic jab at retail therapy ("a little oxytocin for the healing"), it escalates into a brutal observation: things are cheap, so are we. By verse three, the disposable mindset of consumption becomes the disposable mindset of war—men sent to die like products we never bought. Indifference, the song argues, paved the road. Nobody feels the toll.
Click, click, buy the feeling
Something new to stop the reeling
A little oxytocin for the healing
Add to cart, don't think twice
Two-day shipping, instant joy
Delivered fast, destroyed, enjoy
Add to cart, feel nothing
Fill the void with something
Add to cart, still hollow
Buy today, forget tomorrow
Things are cheap, so are we
Use it once, then set it free
Throw away, replace, repeat
Landfill love, obsolete
And the men go off to die
Like products that we never buy
Disposable, replaceable, a number, a name
Sent away by those who feel no shame
Indifference paved the road
Where they carried their load
Bridge - Stripped, cold
Add to cart, add a life
Ship it off to war and strife
Restock, refill, reload
Nobody feels the toll
Add to cart, feel nothing
Fill the void with something
Add to cart, still hollow...
Add to cart...
Add to cart...
Disposable...
