« Fast and Free » est une réflexion synth-pop mélancolique et rebelle sur l'art perdu du risque. Inspirée de la liberté insouciante du cinéma des années 1960, voitures décapotables, cocktails, cigarettes, pas de ceinture, elle oppose cette liberté sensuelle au présent stérile et surdesigné. Le pont devient froid et accusateur : pas de fumée, pas de sel, pas de sucre, « en bonne santé jusqu'à la tombe ». Un cri de rebelle pour tous ceux qui préfèrent vivre dangereusement plutôt que ne pas vivre en sécurité.
