„Fast and Free“ é uma reflexão de synth-pop, da nostalgia ao desafio, sobre a arte perdida do risco. Inspirada no abandono despreocupado do cinema dos anos sessenta, carros abertos, coquetéis, cigarros, sem cinto de segurança, contrasta essa liberdade sensual com a existência estéril, higienizada e avessa ao risco de hoje. A ponte fica fria e acusadora: sem fumaça, sem sal, sem açúcar, „saudável até o túmulo“. Um grito rebelde para quem prefere viver perigosamente a não viver com segurança.
