Yad Bi Yad (Hand in Hand) is a dabke, the Levantine line dance in which people link arms and move as one. In a region torn by war this is the simplest and strongest statement: we hold the line. From Beirut to Jerusalem, from Gaza to Yafa and Haifa, the same blood, the same fear; the war belongs to them, the grief to us. A peace song without blame, with an English bridge for the world: not the flags, but the hands. Hold the line, and the war gives way.
